On April 21st, 2025, the Chapin Homeschool Resource Center will host an engaging event: our very first Student Art Show and Open House. This special occasion is designed to connect students, families, and educators in a vibrant and welcoming environment. Let’s explore what you can expect from this exciting event!

A Celebration of Creativity

The Student Art Show is a fantastic opportunity for our art students to showcase their hard work and creativity. From paintings to sculptures, the variety of artwork will reflect the diverse talents of our students.

Art plays a significant role in education, fostering critical thinking and encouraging self-expression. At the Chapin Homeschool Resource Center, we believe that it is essential to nurture these skills in our students. Attending the art show allows you not only to view the artwork but also to support and encourage young artists.

Open House

In addition to the art show, you will be able to view other student projects, discover the vast array of middle and high school courses CHRC has to offer, and meet our fabulous instructors, both those returning and new. This is your opportunity to connect directly with the educators who will guide your children through their academic journey.

Our teachers are dedicated to creating a supportive learning environment for their students. Families will have the chance to discuss classroom culture and ask any questions they may have about a particular curriculum. Engaging with teachers can provide insight into how to best support your child’s learning experience.

An Opportunity for Connection

The Chapin Homeschool Resource Center welcomes both new and returning families, providing a friendly atmosphere for homeschooling families in the area to connect. Bringing students together in this friendly and comfortable learning environment creates a rich community where many friendships are formed. Sharing resources, ideas, and support within the community helps create a stronger homeschooling network.

Register for Classes

As you explore the Student Art Show, interact with teachers, and see all that CHRC has to offer,  it’s also a great time to consider registering for classes. Simply visit the registration table during the event where we will have registration materials available. All you will need to do is complete a bit of paperwork to let us know which classes you wish your student(s) to take and pay your registration fee ($100 for returning families and $115 for new families). By taking this step, you ensure your students a spot in our program and help to set them up for a successful school year ahead.
