CHRC End of the Year Send off

As the saying goes, "All good things must come to an end." And with that, the 2025-2026 school year for CHRC wrapped up with all the success we could hope for.

As a resource center, it's our pleasure and motivation to see each of the students attending our classes come away with more confidence and knowledge than when they began the year. What an honor to be able to participate in the story of each of these children's lives. Thank you to the parents for your trust and dedication to seeing your child receive a quality education.

As we say goodbye and look towards the next school year, we would like to highlight the accomplishments the students and teachers have achieved this year.

Science

From bugs to dissections to outdoor investigations, Science class is rarely dull. Here at CHRC, our science teachers have always strived to bring hands-on learning to every lesson. What a blessing to know not only do the students learn from teachers with real-world experiences in the field of science, but also a passion for teaching that extends to the students. I have heard from a few biology students about their newfound interest in the subject! So we want to say a big thank you to Mrs. Huffstetler, Mrs. Babb, and Mrs. McDade for this year.

We want to say an additional thank you to Mrs. McDade as this year was her last with CHRC. She has officially retired from teaching with us after many years and many students. I know how beneficial her teaching and encouragement has been to all the individuals who have passed through her classes.

English

As always, our English classes this year have been engaging and challenging! In the ever-changing landscape of computers and AI, here at CHRC we still work towards teaching the skills of writing, grammar, and formatting the English language correctly. Our teachers bring the classics and creative thinking to learning. A big thank you to Mrs. Baghdady, Mrs. Cosby, and Mrs. Anderson for all your diligent work in forming the development of well-rounded writers and learners!

Math

We have two wonderful math teachers here at CHRC, so we want to send a special thank you to Mr. Davis and Mrs. Kimmy. We know math isn't for everyone, but you two sure do make it possible for all students to make progress and build confidence when it comes to gaining math skills!

Spanish

What a joy it is to attend Mrs. Wilson's Spanish class! She brings enthusiasm and fun to the learning process. The students made food from different Spanish-speaking countries, and they even ordered food in Spanish. Students were learning the basics and conversational Spanish skills each class.

Thank you Mrs. Wilson for putting so much passion into teaching CHRC students.

History

Our middle school and high school history classes were engaging and enlightening. The students participated in a wide variety of projects and hands-on lessons that added real-world value to history. Mrs. Lanford, thank you for always bringing the fun to history for our students.

Art

We offered two art classes this year. "Painting Through the Ages" is our high school art history class that walks students through art skills and techniques used throughout history. This year, our student who participated completed some really nice work. Be sure to view his art gallery here.

New this school year was the "Art Exploration" class. This class was designed for middle school-aged students wanting to learn the foundations of creating artwork. We had four students work very hard on their skill and creativity. Please be sure to peruse their art gallery here.
