By analyzing various arguments, they learn to evaluate information effectively—an essential ability in an age inundated with differing opinions.

For example, students practice by dissecting real-world news articles, which helps them distinguish productive debate from misinformation. They will build confidence in articulating their own well-informed perspectives and learn to appreciate constructive dialogue.

Art Through the Ages: Creativity Meets History

Imagine your child learning historical events through artistic expression. Our Art Through the Ages class offers this unique experience.

Students investigate a range of art styles and techniques from ancient periods to contemporary art movements. Throughout the school year, they will design and complete art projects. Additionally, they will take part in an end-of-year art show to showcase their efforts.

Consumer Math: Preparing for the Future

Financial literacy has become a vital skill for today’s youth. That’s why we are excited to present our new Consumer Math class!

In this class, high school students dive into practical mathematics that empowers them to make informed financial choices. Topics include budgeting, understanding loans, and navigating taxes. For instance, students learn to create a personal budget, allowing them to see exactly how to balance expenses against income. By mastering these skills, they are well-equipped to handle financial challenges later in life, contributing to a future generation that is financially savvy.

Physical Education: Health and Vitality

Physical health is just as important as academic success. Our Physical Education class not only provides students with essential high school credits but also emphasizes health and wellness.

Students engage in various sports and activities while learning about fitness and nutrition. They will participate in fun sessions like hiking and team sports, reinforcing the importance of exercise in their daily lives.

Don’t miss our mandatory orientation on August 11 at 6 PM at the Chapin Baptist Fellowship Hall. You’ll have the opportunity to delve deeper into our programs, meet dedicated teachers, and connect with other homeschooling families. Classes officially begin on August 18, and we are eager to welcome your family into our vibrant community!
