Chapin Homeschool Resource Center

Is Chapin Homeschool Resource Center right for your family?
Welcome! If you have stumbled upon our site, just know we have probably been right where you are too. Finding the best path for your child's education is one of the most important things we do. God has ordained the family to be the launching pad for our children to spring into adulthood and prepare them to be successful in life and fully step into the path God has for each of them; ultimately allowing them to be Kingdom builders. We would love to help!
This page is a little roadmap to the process we encourage you to take to see if Chapin HRC is right for you!

How is Chapin HRC different?
Chapin Homeschool Resource Center is an "a'la carte" approach to home education. We offer classes for Middle and High School students. Each class meets for 90 minutes only on Mondays. The student then completes scheduled assignments at home during the remainder of the week.

How is Chapin HRC Christian?
Chapin Homeschool Resource Center is not connected to any one particular church or organization. While we meet weekly at Chapin Baptist Church, the teachers and families are connected to many local churches in the immediate area. We do teach from a Biblical world view but a statement of faith is not required for participation.

Is it credible?
Our courses are SCAIHS and third option approved. Our expert teachers have taught in public or private settings, many doing homeschool within their own families. For many of us, our teachers challenge our children in school work through their skills and allow us to support them in their development as parents.

What is the time commitment?
We meet Mondays at Chapin Baptist Church during September through April. Our classes are offered from 8:15 - 4:35pm. Each class will have different expectations of time involvement but you can expect 3hrs of associated work at home per HS class.

What is the cost to go to Chapin Homeschool Resource Center?
Our High School classes are priced at $240 per semester as they are HS credit classes with many offering Honor level courses. Our Middle School classes are mostly priced lower due to not being a HS credit. There is also a $115 registration fee that gets paid directly to the church per student for our space rental, and $5 per student at registration for our technology fee.

How do I get started?
First, we want to hear what classes your student is interested in. We then produce a course matrix for the following year based on interest and the best schedule for our teachers. The final step is where you will register for classes, commit to the behavioral expectations policy and make your payment for the first semester.
